Dear Friend,

I haven’t written in a while, to be honest I’m not sure what to write about. I feel like my mind is swirling around and I can’t make sense of anything or pinpoint anything that I really want to share with you. You would think that with everything going on I would have SOMETHING to share, but alas, I feel like nothing all that interesting has been going on. I will say that spring semester has begun, and with it, so many things. I’m currently taking 6 classes (17 credits) General Psychology, Elementary Spanish I, Intro to Sociology, Voice in Vocation (basic speech class), Conflict Violence and Terrorism, and Social Behavior and Diversity. If you haven’t noticed by now… I’m in a people-related major. The first few days of Conflict, Violence and Terrorism felt a little over my head, but I feel like I’m starting to understand what’s going on a bit more. This could be because I’m actually starting to understand the reading, which I’m hoping will help in class. The downside to having so many classes is that I’m not sure how I’m going to keep up. If I didn’t have anything to do other than class… and didn’t have any friends to distract me, I could do it EASILY, but my weakness is people… I, more than anything, want to spend time with people and will often procrastinate to do so. NOT this semester! In addition to my classes I am also playing intramural volleyball, working at Gift and Thrift a little over 7 hours a week, and choreographing  for an EMU created musical (not the entire musical, just one scene) not to mention a knitting club that I recently joined. You could say I’m staying busy. In fact, my volleyball team, “Sassy and Satisfied,” will be playing the “Melonheads” tonight @ 9 pm. Also in store for me tonight is watching a video for Conflict, Violence and Terrorism, Practicing Spanish, going over Chapter 2 of the Sociology text, and working on my speech for Monday… I guess I’ll see you on the other side.

Love, Mandi Jo

P.S. I’m almost always in my room/lounge studying… please, come hang out. I even have an awesome playlist going!
